Brand strategy for BBC Voice+AI Team. A brand that’s about conversation, companionship and collaboration with a playful persona.

Role: Project lead | Brand strategy | Visual language

THE CHALLENGE:
The BBC's internal Voice+AI team needed a strong visual identity to support their mission of creating "the world's most trusted companion." This brand was for the team itself , not the end-user AI companion , but needed to convey modern, brave, playful, trustworthy, collaborative, and accessible qualities. It also had to work within BBC's master brand guidelines while supporting the team's emerging AI and multimodal work

MY APPROACH:
I created a flexible brand system for the internal team using modular colours, graphic elements, and a distinctive monotone mark. The visual language needed to reflect conversation, companionship, and the team's playful persona while remaining professional for cross-team collaboration.

WHAT I DELIVERED:
01_Complete brand system for the internal Voice+AI team (colour palette, graphic elements, monotone identity)
02_Visual language guidelines supporting team collaboration and presentations
03_Brand toolkit that adhered to BBC master brand while giving the team distinct personality
04_Internal applications across team comms, stakeholder presentations, and project deliverables

THE OUTCOME:
The brand gave the Voice+AI team clear visual cohesion for internal use and external collaborations. For a distributed team working across multiple BBC locations, it created instant recognition and unity, helping new members quickly identify team materials and building cohesion across locations. It proved flexible for team slides, stakeholder presentations, and partner work.
